For our department Claims Assessment & Control we are seeking to appoint a Claims Specialist commencing immediately on a permanent, full-time basis.

 

You can look forward to

  • Review, analyze, and process reinsurance claims in accordance with contractual terms and company policies.
  • Assess claim documentation, loss reports, and supporting evidence to determine validity and coverage.
  • Liaise with cedents, brokers, and internal departments to gather information, clarify issues, and resolve disputes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the claims related systems.
  • Prepare regular claims reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure claims handling complies with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance claims processes and contribute to system upgrades or automation initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and emerging risks affecting reinsurance claims.

You come equipped with

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, insurance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in claims handling, preferably in a reinsurance or insurance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reinsurance principles, contracts (e.g., facultative, treaty), and claims processes.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
