You can look forward to

  • Craft advanced dashboards using AI and forecasting techniques to anticipate trends
  • Assist in the development of Key Risk Indicators
  • Support data driven decision making
  • Forecasting - Prepare simulated available capital based on forecast and plan figures; Also prepare capital projections on various scenarios and stresses.
  • Capital Models - review and update capital models including S&P and the internal model
  • Operational Risk - contribute to the identification, measurement, mitigation and review of operational risks
  • Regulatory requirements - keep up to date with relevant legislative and regulatory changes affecting the business
  • Sound understanding of Solvency II, IFRS and AAOIFI - would be a bonus.
  • Signing Actuary engagement - support signing actuary and various internal and external stakeholders as may be required in relation to information required
  • Surplus Distribution - calculate the surplus of the Pool in line with AAOIFI requirements
  • Miscellaneous - actively support the department by contributing in other areas, specifically Compliance management.
  • Mentorship and training of junior team members - as and when needed

You come equipped with

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment, always ready to tackle responsibilities beyond the comfort zone
  • Expert in using data analytics tools
  • Keen interest in Islamic Finance/Takaful
  • Degree in mathematics/actuarial science/data science is required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an insurance or reinsurance environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills, to tackle new challenges
  • Ability to critically assess and review own work done
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Technology savvy with an interest in latest technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
