For our department General Retakaful Facultative we are seeking to appoint a Supervisor - Team Lead P&C Facultative commencing immediately on a permanent, full-time basis.

 

You can look forward to

• Lead, develop, and mentor a facultative underwriting team, setting clear objectives and ensuring high performance
• Manage and further develop client and broker relationships across the MENA & SEA region
• Contribute to portfolio strategy, steering, and business planning in close collaboration with senior management
• Underwrite facultative Property risks at a senior level, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with underwriting guidelines
• Leverage digital and AI-enabled tools (e.g. Copilot and underwriting analytics solutions) to enhance underwriting quality, productivity, and decision-making
• Ensure efficient processes, strong governance, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders across the Hannover Re Group

You come equipped with

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration (a Master’s degree is an advantage)
• Holds a recognized professional qualification such as ACII or FCII
• 8 to 12 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance, preferably in P&C facultative underwriting managerial role. Ideally a minimum of 3 years prior management experience or high potential to grow into the leadership role reasonably quickly.
• Solid knowledge of MENA and/or South-East Asian markets and relevant underwriting practices
• Familiarity with Takaful / Islamic insurance principles is considered a strong advantage
• Proven leadership experience or clear readiness to step into a team leadership role
• Strong client and broker relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities
• Comfortable working with digital platforms and AI-enabled tools (e.g. Copilot) in an underwriting environment
• Experience working with reinsurance underwriting tools and systems
