Actuary / Mathematician Risk Management
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Risk Management team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Actuary / Mathematician Risk Management.
You can look forward to
- Active participation in the operational core processes of the internal model, particularly in the quarterly model runs for the Hannover Re Group and its various entities
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with various interfaces (e.g., with other departments or with BaFin)
- Execution of regular model runs and preparation of result reports for multiple Hannover Re units
- Generation of key risk figures, performance of analyses and contribution to a wide range of internal model applications
- Implementation of model changes, including change analyses and validation activities
You come equipped with
- A completed degree in (business) mathematics, physics or a related quantitative field
- Initial experience in the (re)insurance industry, ideally gained through internships
- Programming skills in MATLAB are an advantage; strong proficiency in MS Office
- Proficient user skills in both English and German, combined with strong communication skills
- A creative and conceptual mindset, marked by curiosity, collegiality, reliability and strong problem-solving abilities
