Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the team Property & Casualty Global Services – Claims Management at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Claims Counsel.
You can look forward to
- Conducting legal review of obligatory claims from our business partners
- Providing expert advice and support to our colleagues in the German, Austrian, Swiss and Italian division
- Acting as a key liaison, connecting market departments and service units at our Hannover office and across our international locations
- Leading engaging training sessions for colleagues
- Shaping industry- and country-specific strategies for loss reserving
- Analyzing claims developments and trends
- Representing our Claims Management team in external committees (e.g., GDV) and participating in audits, projects, and working groups
You come equipped with
- Successfully completed legal studies (fully qualified lawyer) and/or comparable practical experience in claims settlement
- Expertise in Property and Casualty Claims, ideally with a focus on German, Austrian, Swiss and Italian jurisdiction desirable; in-depth reinsurance knowledge is a plus
- Sound knowledge of legal systems in the aforementioned jurisdictions
- Business-fluent German and English skills; additional language skills, such as Italian are welcome
- Analytical skills, sound judgment, and a confident demeanour
- A proactive and international mindset with a willingness to travel occasionally and work on establishing the processes of our newly established department
