Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the LH AL Data Analytics team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Data Scientist Azure Cloud R.

You can look forward to

  • As part of an agile, collaborative team, you will help shape exciting and diverse data projects together with Life and Health reinsurance units worldwide
  • Collaborate with IT and market departments in Life and Health to automate data analytics (e.g. for our pricing and business management)
  • Modular design, implementation and development of data analytics toolsets
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of infrastructure (including cloud) and methodological development

You come equipped with

  • A very good Master's degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics or a comparable degree program
  • First professional experience in the field of data analytics as well as sound knowledge of a higher programming language (R, Python, Julia) and data infrastructures (MS Azure Cloud, Databricks)
  • Ideally basic knowledge of actuarial mathematics and experience in international cooperation
  • Strong communication skills paired with business fluent English - another language is an advantage
  • Passion for data analytics, corresponding infrastructure and an international mindset
