Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the GFA-ACR General Ledger E+S team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Financial Accountant Group Accounting HGB, IFRS and Finance Transformation. Launch your career in international accounting and take on a wide range of responsibilities from day one, including financial reporting under HGB and IFRS, regulatory reporting, and the continuous improvement of our finance processes.

You can look forward to

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and take ownership of forecasting and planning processes under HGB and IFRS for companies within the Hannover Re Group
  • Be responsible for the calculation, posting and analysis of reserves in SAP FI GL
  • Coordinate, amongst other activities, intercompany reconciliations and implement accounting adjustments and corrections
  • Drive the transformation of Accounting through the migration to SAP S/4HANA and continuously enhance processes with a focus on future readiness

You come equipped with

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a comparable field of study
  • Several years of professional experience in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and/or in forecasting and planning processes under HGB and IFRS
  • Experience within the (re)insurance industry would be advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with solid knowledge of SAP FI GL and, ideally, SAP S/4HANA
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • A strong interest in digitalisation, automation and the continuous improvement of accounting processes, combined with a collaborative and communicative approach to work
