Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the GFA-ACR General Ledger E+S team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Financial Accountant Group Accounting HGB and IFRS. Launch your career in international accounting and take on a wide range of responsibilities from day one, including financial reporting under HGB and IFRS, regulatory reporting, and the continuous improvement of our finance processes.

You can look forward to

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for various entities of the Hannover Re Group in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Calculate and post provisions in SAP FI GL and reflect them in our reporting systems
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports to German supervisory authorities
  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and implement required accounting adjustments
  • Contribute to our SAP S/4HANA migration project and actively support the development and optimization of accounting processes
  • Provide professional accounting guidance to our international branches on financial reporting matters

You come equipped with

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field of study
  • Initial practical experience in accounting, for example through internships or working student positions within the insurance or financial services industry
  • First exposure to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
  • Strong MS Excel skills and ideally knowledge of SAP FI GL and/or SAP S/4HANA
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for process improvement, digitalization, and transformation initiatives
