Financial Accountant Group Accounting
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Financial Accountant Group Accounting. The position can be filled on a part-time basis (at least 30 hours / week).
You can look forward to
- Contributing to the preparation of the group’s annual financial statements, quarterly reports, group forecasts, and the one- and multi-year planning for the group
- Independently supporting and advising reporting units
- Assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial reports and internal financial reporting
- Performing quality checks on the individual financial statements included in the consolidated financial statements
- Analysing and preparing IFRS consolidated financial statements and planning calculations for various target audiences
- Evaluating accounting-related issues
- Participating in projects related to accounting and process development
You come equipped with
- Experience in accounting for insurance companies and/or group accounting
- Solid knowledge of IFRS reporting, ideally with regard to the new accounting standards IFRS 17/9
- Experience with editorial systems (e.g., Workiva), including ESEF tagging, is a plus
- A completed degree with a focus on auditing, taxation, insurance, finance, or business mathematics
- Business-fluent German and conversational English
- Proficient in Excel and other MS Office products
- A structured working style with strong organisational and planning skills, as well as analytical abilities
- High level of personal responsibility in meeting internal and external deadlines
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams
