Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Legal Services - Compliance Sanctions, Operations & Research team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a part-time basis (roughly 30 HPW) commencing as soon as possible as a IT Consultant Sanctions Screening. Would you like to combine sanctions screening and information technology? Join us in shaping the future of our screening systems and sanctions infrastructure. We will provide you with on-the-job training in the specialist knowledge required for financial sanctions. 

You can look forward to

  • Taking responsibility for the further development and configuration of our sanctions infrastructure Oracle Watchlist Screening (OWS) and Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ), working at the interface between Compliance and IT within an international team 
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions and supporting the development, testing and implementation of new functionalities in collaboration with IT teams and external partners 
  • Advising colleagues on technical and business-related questions relating to our systems and applications 
  • Receiving training in the assessment of complex screening matches and potential sanctions-related cases identified through checks against national and international sanctions lists 
  • Building expertise in Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, including the analysis of ownership and control structures as well as beneficial ownership 

You come equipped with

  • A completed degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, Business Administration or a comparable qualification 
  • Several years of professional experience as a Business Information Systems Specialist, Business Analyst, IT Consultant, Requirements Engineer, or in a similar role 
  • Proven experience in the development, implementation or configuration of IT systems, requirements management, and collaboration with IT teams and external software providers 
  • A strong understanding of business and economic processes, with the ability to assess risks independently 
  • Experience in analysing and preparing data, particularly using SQL 
  • Fluent English language skills and a good command of German 
  • A confident manner, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and make sound decisions, even in challenging situations
