You can look forward to
- Preparation and processing of actuarial reserve analyses for the Property & Casualty reinsurance business group of the Hannover Re Group
- Participation in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS 17 as well as the valuation according to Solvency II
- Economic valuation of the global property and casualty reinsurance business as a basis for corporate management and performance measurement
- Reserving of regional, customer and line-specific sub-segments both at Group headquarters and at our international locations for all relevant financial statements (HGB, IFRS 17, Solvency II)
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors and colleagues from the Hannover Re Group’s international network
- Cross-functional project work and interdisciplinary collaboration with teams from IT, underwriting and accounting
- Ongoing development of methods and systems for reserve calculation and analysis
You come equipped with
- Degree in (business) mathematics, physics, computer science or a comparable degree programme with a strong mathematical or analytical focus
- Initial professional experience or internship in actuarial or risk management in primary insurance or reinsurance is an advantage
- English at a conversational level, knowledge of German is an advantage, but not essential
- Structured way of thinking, ability to recognise complex interrelationships and solution-oriented approach to problems
- Ability to work in a structured and efficient manner, even during intensive phases such as the quarterly and annual closing process
- Strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team and in an international network
