As part of the Group Quotation Service – International team, you will support the global risk-adequate pricing of Property & Casualty reinsurance business outside North America. Together, we develop modern pricing approaches, analyze risks, and provide the mathematical foundation for sound underwriting decisions. In doing so, we work closely with international colleagues from Underwriting, Actuarial, and Risk Management.

You can look forward to

  • Assess international reinsurance risks and calculate risk-adequate premiums
  • Design mathematical pricing models and support their further development
  • Conduct market, portfolio, and risk analyses for the international Property & Casualty reinsurance business
  • Develop and automate solutions for actuarial challenges using R and Excel
  • Advise our underwriters on complex mathematical and technical topics, both in Hannover and at our locations worldwide
  • Deliver international training sessions and conduct audits on pricing methods and Tools

You come equipped with

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, or a comparable quantitative discipline
  • Initial experience in (re)insurance, pricing, or actuarial work is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. R, Python) is beneficial, along with an interest in digital technologies and innovative applications
  • Business-fluent English and conversational German skills; additional language skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel following onboarding and in coordination with the team (approximately once or twice per year)
  • Enjoy working across functions and international teams, particularly in supporting underwriters with decision-making
  • Ability to confidently manage diverse requirements and perspectives, combined with a commitment to continuous learning and development
