Mathematician Risk Management
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Risk Management - Aggregates team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Mathematician Risk Management.
You can look forward to
- Monitoring and management of catastrophe risks – such as cyber, terrorism, or natural disaster risks – through the assessment of exposure to these risks
- Development of internal IT applications within the department
- Preparation, updating, and further development of scenario analyses
- Advising our business units (including our international locations) on issues related to the identification and monitoring of aggregates, as well as capacity tracking and planning
- Regular reporting on all key figures required for risk measurement for the Hannover Re Group, its subsidiaries, and external requirements
You come equipped with
- Master’s degree in (Business) or (Financial) Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field of study
- Initial professional experience through internships is desirable
- Advanced programming skills (e.g. Python and MATLAB) as well as knowledge of databases
- German and English at a business-fluent level
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with clients
- An international mindset and willingness to travel occasionally
