Oracle Database Administrator
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the IT Actuarial Functions & Systems team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an Oracle Database Administrator.
You can look forward to
- You carry out performance analyses and initiate the resulting optimisation measures
- Together with the virtual DBA team, you plan database updates, upgrades, fixes and patches
- You implement and carry out monitoring tasks
- You participate in the planning and execution of backup and recovery in cooperation with the storage and backup team
- You support and advise customers on database administration and configuration
- As a System Manager, you are responsible for incident, problem, change and capacity Management
You come equipped with
- Sound professional experience in the administration of the Oracle database management system (DBMS) under Linux/Unix
- Degree in computer science or training as an IT specialist or a comparable qualification
- In-depth knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and infrastructure / Microsoft Server
- Confident handling of common scripting languages
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (Amazon or Azure) and DBaaS concepts
- Initial experience with other DBMS systems (e.g. MS SQL, Postgres SQL, MYSQL, Aurora or similar) and with large database environments desirable
- German and English at a business fluent level
