Paralegal / Legal Specialist with Spanish Language Skills
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Legal Services - Corporate Matters team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent 70% part-time basis (approx. 27 hours per week), commencing at the earliest possible date as a Paralegal / Legal Specialist with Spanish Language Skills.
You can look forward to
- Managing trade marks and reinsurance licences while working closely with trade mark offices and authorities around the world
- Preparing up-to-date overviews of ongoing litigation across the Hannover Re Group for management bodies and committees
- Supporting our business units in their interactions with notaries, authorities and regulatory bodies, particularly in Latin America
- Researching legal and regulatory matters
- Supporting Corporate Governance and Compliance processes, particularly in the areas of KYC, AML, Modern Slavery and other regulatory requirements
- Preparing regulatory documentation and confirmations for clients and business partners and presenting legal matters clearly to support decision-making
- Keeping track of incoming correspondence, deadlines and appointments and maintaining relevant databases within the Legal and Compliance function
You come equipped with
- A degree in Business Law or a comparable legal qualification with above-average academic results. We also welcome applications from candidates who have not completed their studies, provided they have strong legal knowledge and relevant practical experience.
- Initial professional experience as a Legal Counsel, In-house Lawyer, Business Lawyer or within a financial services environment, or as a Paralegal or Office Manager in a commercially focused law firm or notary's office
- A sound understanding of company and contract law, along with an interest in regulatory, Corporate Governance and Compliance topics
- Fluent German and English language skills, together with a good command of Spanish
- The ability to work effectively in an international environment, ideally gained through international study, work or living experience
- A proactive approach, a willingness to take ownership of your work, adaptability and a genuine interest in continuous professional development
