Reinsurance Accountant Aviation and Marine
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary, full-time basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Aviation and Marine.
You can look forward to
- Processing incoming and outgoing accounts, as well as handling individual claims for global aviation and marine business
- Reviewing contract terms and sanctions compliance
- Correspondence and coordination with internal and external clients
- Supporting with quarterly closing activities, including non-liquid estimates and reserve calculations
- Checking accounts for completeness and ensuring proper documentation and archiving
- Contributing to working groups and projects, with a focus on digitalisation and automation
You come equipped with
- A degree in Business Administration and/or a commercial qualification
- Initial experience in accounting (e.g. banking, insurance, taxation) and ideally in accounts handling within (re)insurance
- Knowledge of accounting standards (HGB and IFRS); experience with SAP FS-RI is an advantage
- Good conversational German and English skills
- Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of economic relationships
- A high level of motivation for continuous development, with a proactive approach to building and maintaining networks
- An open-minded personality with a strong hands-on mentality and the ability to adapt to different situations
