Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis until end of December 2028, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Property & Casualty Business Talanx Group.
You can look forward to
- Processing of acceptances and cessions for the obligatory and facultative non-life reinsurance business of Talanx Group companies
- Preparation of complex retrocession settlements
- Recording, processing and preparation of claims notifications including sanction checks and consultation with claims specialists
- Correspondence and coordination with internal interfaces and external customers
- Quarterly closing work, including liquid estimates and reserve determinations within intercompany reconciliation
- Processing incoming and outgoing payments
- Master data maintenance, including initiating the creation of new bank details
- Participation in working groups and projects
You come equipped with
- Experience in accounting (e.g. from the areas of insurance, banking, taxes)
- Initial experience in the qualified processing of reinsurance and retrocession settlements
- Completed studies in business administration and/or comparable training
- Knowledge of various accounting regulations, e.g. HGB and IFRS
- Basic understanding of obligatory and facultative reinsurance contracts is an advantage
- German and English at a conversational level
- Confident handling of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- SAP knowledge, especially SAP FS-RI and FS-CD
- Affinity for IT topics and willingness to familiarize yourself with various IT technologies
- Very good understanding of numbers and analytical thinking skills
- Enjoy working in a team
- Confident and service-oriented demeanor towards internal and external customers
