Let's connect: Join our MB52 DACHI department in Hannover, Germany, on a permanent basis at the earliest possible date as a Senior Underwriter DACH. The MB52 department manages a diversified reinsurance portfolio with treaty business from Italy, Switzerland, Austria, as well as parts of the German market. #LI-DNI 

 

As part of our 16-member team, you will work closely with experienced colleagues in an international environment and benefit from their expertise. At the same time, you will actively contribute your own ideas. Together, we combine market insight, analytical excellence, and collaborative partnerships to develop sustainable and profitable reinsurance solutions.

You can look forward to

  • Personal responsibility and strategic development of an international reinsurance portfolio of German cedants
  • Building, maintaining, and expanding key client relationships at decision-making level, while actively strengthening your professional network within the market
  • Managing the entire underwriting process, from risk assessment and pricing to contract structuring and negotiations with cedents and brokers
  • Developing tailored reinsurance solutions with a focus on profitability and capital efficiency
  • Analyzing portfolios, markets, and competitive environments
  • Supporting professional exchange and knowledge sharing within the Team

You come equipped with

  • Degree in Business Administration, (Business) Mathematics, Law, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the (re)insurance industry, particularly in underwriting
  • Experience in independently managing portfolios and international client relationships
  • Solid expertise in risk assessment, pricing, and contract design, combined with strong analytical skills
  • Business fluent German and English language skills, enabling precise and audience-oriented communication in an international environment
  • Commercial awareness, combined with a structured, client-focused, and solution-oriented approach to work
