Software Engineer
Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Service, Digitisation & Automation team in Finance Global Services, at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Software Engineer. We are starting a new project in the insurance sector at the beginning of the year, focussing on retrocessions. As part of an agile team, you will work with us to develop a completely new application - Greenfield. In the first project phase, you will be actively involved in setting up our system landscape and development environments.
You can look forward to
- Setting up and configuring modern development environments with Docker, Kafka, Terraform and Kubernetes
- Support in setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Development and connection of REST and SOAP APIs
- Backend development of a new application in the insurance environment
- Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team from development, architecture and specialist departments
You come equipped with
- Experience in backend development with one or more of the following technologies: Java, C#, .NET, Node.js, Python
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, ideally also with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
- Ideally initial experience with cloud hosting (e.g. PostgreSQL in the cloud)
- Ideally experience with Azure Pipelines, Docker, Kafka, Terraform and Kubernetes
- Openness to new technologies and a desire to actively participate in architectural decisions
- Willingness to think your way into technical processes
- Team spirit, initiative and a structured way of working
