Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Service, Digitisation & Automation team in Finance Global Services, at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Software Engineer. We are starting a new project in the insurance sector at the beginning of the year, focussing on retrocessions. As part of an agile team, you will work with us to develop a completely new application - Greenfield. In the first project phase, you will be actively involved in setting up our system landscape and development environments. 

You can look forward to

  • Setting up and configuring modern development environments with Docker, Kafka, Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Support in setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Development and connection of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Backend development of a new application in the insurance environment
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team from development, architecture and specialist departments

You come equipped with

  • Experience in backend development with one or more of the following technologies: Java, C#, .NET, Node.js, Python
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, ideally also with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Ideally initial experience with cloud hosting (e.g. PostgreSQL in the cloud)
  • Ideally experience with Azure Pipelines, Docker, Kafka, Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Openness to new technologies and a desire to actively participate in architectural decisions
  • Willingness to think your way into technical processes
  • Team spirit, initiative and a structured way of working
