Team Manager Procurement

You can look forward to
- You lead the 14-member team of Strategic and Operational Central Procurement (IT and Non-IT) for the Hannover Re Group, both professionally and disciplinarily, and support team members in their ongoing development
- You are responsible for a procurement volume of approximately €200 million and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
- You develop procurement strategies to optimize sourcing processes
- You identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers, build long-term partnerships, and negotiate the best possible terms for our company
- You collaborate across locations with other procurement colleagues and actively contribute to international projects – for example, in the rollout of a new procurement software or the design of efficient end-to-end processes
You come equipped with
- Completed university degree (e.g. in Business Administration with a focus on Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics, Economics, or Industrial Engineering)
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management – ideally covering both IT and non-IT procurement in an internationally operating company
- Proven experience in leading teams, both professionally and disciplinarily
- An international mindset combined with business-fluent German and English skills
- A team-oriented and empathetic personality with a pragmatic working style and a passion for collaborative teamwork completes your profile
