Our TalanXplore trainee programme offers the ideal starting point within one of Germany’s leading insurance groups. Over the course of 18 months, you’ll gain valuable insights not only at Hannover Re, but also across various divisions of the Talanx Group – including HDI Global, for example. A particular highlight: a multi-month international placement will allow you to experience global markets and working practices first-hand. This will give you a broad understanding of the entire insurance value chain – from primary insurance to reinsurance.

From day one, you’ll be a permanent member of Hannover Re, actively contributing your ideas and developing both professionally and personally. You can look forward to

  • Gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of various departments, including pricing of insurance products and risk management
  • Take on responsibilities and contribute to projects, supported throughout by experienced colleagues
  • Spend several months abroad at one of our international locations and broaden your global perspective
  • Enhance your skills through targeted learning modules in areas such as project management and communication
  • Participate in exclusive trainee events and build a strong international network across the group

You come equipped with

  • Excellent master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields with a strong commercial focus
  • Initial practical experience in the financial services sector or a commercial apprenticeship in insurance or banking is advantageous
  • Ideally, international experience gained through study abroad, language travel, or work & travel programmes
  • Proficient user skills in English and ideally German. Additional language skills are beneficial.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and a collaborative mindset – you enjoy working in teams and actively contribute to shared solutions
