You can look forward to
- Analysing reinsurance inquiries from our customers, including risk assessment
- Preparing and making quotations and underwriting decisions
- Cultivating, growing and building viable customer relationships
- Monitoring primary and reinsurance markets in the supported region
- Contributing to the compilation and evaluation of portfolio and product analyses, including using statistical methods of data analysis
- Design of calculation tools to automate and increase the efficiency of underwriting and to obtain results using mathematical models applied to the data sets
- Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
- Conduct exploratory data analysis with a focus on reinsurance results
You come equipped with
- A Master's degree in finance or economics with quantitative majors or in (business) mathematics
- Knowledge of a higher programming language, e.g. R or Python
- Initial experience in the insurance sector, e.g. in providing support for commercial customers or in the actuarial office
- Connection to Latin America and experience gained locally, ideally in the financial sector
- Knowledge of the latest IT tools and statistical methods of data analysis
- Ideally, familiarity with IFRS accounting practice and local Latin American financial re-porting standards
- Native speaker command of Spanish or Portuguese, proficient user skills in English and independent user skills in German, as well as strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel worldwide on business, roughly three or four times a year
- Considerable capacity for analytical thinking, a solution-driven working approach and a high level of commitment
