Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the RD73 – Parametrics team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an Underwriter Reinsurance / Parametric Solutions. 

 

In our international and interdisciplinary Parametric Solutions team, we develop and expand parametric insurance solutions worldwide and underwrite the corresponding reinsurance portfolios. Working closely with insurers, corporates and brokers across the globe, we combine quantitative analysis, modern risk modelling and in-depth market expertise with a collaborative and partnership-driven approach.

You can look forward to

  • You analyse and underwrite reinsurance solutions across natural catastrophe and specialty lines
  • You originate and execute parametric insurance solutions, taking ownership throughout the entire underwriting process
  • You assess risks using data-driven, model-based and scenario-based analyses while taking strategic objectives into account
  • You build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and brokers in an international environment
  • You review and manage reinsurance contracts and monitor market developments to contribute insights that strengthen Hannover Re’s position in the parametric insurance market

You come equipped with

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics or a comparable qualification with a strong quantitative focus
  • Professional experience in reinsurance underwriting or modelling is desirable
  • The ability or willingness to learn, to structure and assess reinsurance contracts using quantitative and solution-oriented analyses
  • Interest in parametric insurance solutions, data-driven decision-making and current market developments
  • Business-fluent English and conversational German for precise and audience-appropriate communication
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel (approximately three to four trips per year)
  • Ability to analyse complex situations in a structured manner and identify suitable solutions in a changing environment
