Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the US Special Casualty Treaty team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an Underwriter Special Casualty USA.
You can look forward to
- Processing of reinsurance contracts from the USA - with a focus on excess casualty and surplus lines business as well as occasional coverage of financial lines business (D&O, E&O)
- Analysis of reinsurance offers, assessment of the risks involved and determination of appropriate premiums
- Support, maintenance and expansion of the customer and contract portfolio
- Maintenance of internal systems for contract administration and communication, mainly in English
- Marketing activities with local clients and reinsurance brokers
You come equipped with
- (Initial) professional experience in underwriting in primary insurance or reinsurance is desirable
- Business studies and/or (insurance) commercial training
- An international mindset and a stay of several weeks abroad in an English-speaking country is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills paired with English at a business fluent level and German at a conversational level
- A confident manner towards customers and a willingness to travel - mainly to the USA, about two to three times a year
