You can look forward to
- Preparation and analysis of actuarial reserves for the Property & Casualty reinsurance business of the Hannover Re Group
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS 17, as well as valuations under Solvency II
- Economic valuation of the global property and casualty reinsurance portfolio as a basis for corporate management and performance measurement
- Reserving of regional, client-specific and line-of-business-specific sub-segments, both at group headquarters and across our international locations, for all relevant reporting standards (HGB, IFRS 17, Solvency II)
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors and colleagues from the Hannover Re Group’s international network
- Cross-functional project work and interdisciplinary collaboration with teams from IT, underwriting and accounting
- Ongoing development of methods and systems for reserve calculation and analysis
- Taking ownership of complex topics, including independent coordination and further development
You come equipped with
- Several years of professional experience in actuarial or risk management in primary insurance or reinsurance
- Degree in (business) mathematics, physics, computer science or a comparable degree programme with a strong mathematical or analytical focus
- English at a conversational level, knowledge of German an advantage, but not essential
- Structured way of thinking, ability to recognise complex interrelationships and solution-oriented approach to problems
- Ability to work in a structured and efficient manner, even during intensice phases such as quarterly and annual closing process
- Strong communication skills and enjoy working in an international environment
