You can look forward to
- Facultative Reinsurance & Special Acceptances - Review, approve and/or decline all referrals that fall outside the underwriting management agency mandate. Source and secure special acceptance or facultative reinsurance support for risks exceeding the treaty limit and ensure compliance with Compass Insure special underwriting guidelines.
- Reinsurance Renewals – Prepare and distribute reinsurance renewal packs in close consultation with internal stakeholders and UMA’S, ensuring all necessary data and documentation are compiled for treaty reinsurers. Following this, engage with treaty reinsurers to finalize proposals, negotiating and securing treaty support for all UMAs and complete all related administrative activities.
- Stakeholder and Treaty Management- Ongoing engagements with relevant business partners, treaty and facultative reinsurers.
- Monthly and Quarterly reinsurance payments – Process all monthly and quarterly facultative reinsurance payments and excess of loss reinsurance payments.
You come equipped with
- Essential – Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, BCom related degree, BSc Mathematical Science, Actuarial Science, BSc Engineering, BCom Law/LLB.
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience within an insurance environment
- Preferred experience within reinsurance environment
- Ability to critically assess and review own work done
- Essential Computer skills – Intermediate level MS Outlook, Word and Excel,
- Preferred Computer skills – PowerBI
