You can look forward to

Technical Accounting - Obtain monthly Bordereaux from UMA’s and capture the relevant information into Compass underwriting and financial system. Prepare and analyse month end files and variances from previous months Compass underwriting system to ensure accuracy and completeness .Meet monthly and other internal deadlines.

Reconciliations - Monthly reconciliations of technical information from SIGMA technical accounting system to SAP.

Systems - Be actively involved in the use and improvements of systems including the technical finance system, document management system, SAP and the Data warehouse.

Data quality, efficiencies and innovation - Identify, streamline and automate processes where possible, create templates which will translate into efficiencies for day to day and other tasks.

Involvement with internal and external audits - Preparation of quality files, various details and calculations for audit purposes. Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

 

 

You come equipped with

  • Preferred CA (SA), minimum completed articles at a big four firm with 3 years out of article experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences or Bachelor of Accounting Sciences degree
  • Preferred experience within an insurance environment
  • Ability to assess and review own work done
  • Essential Computer skills -Intermediate level MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Preffered Computer skills - Ms PowerPoint and PowerBI
