We are currently hiring Risk and Actuarial Intern to support the Risk and Actuarial team in ensuring the adequacy of the company's technical provisions and compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as the company's policies, guidelines, and governance framework. In this role, you will also be involved in internal operations and engagements within the branch.

You can look forward to

  • Assisting in the quarterly valuation and risk management processes.
  • Assisting in automating data extractions, reconciliation processes and overall workflow using Microsoft Excel, VBA or R to improve the efficiency, user-friendliness and controls for IFRS17 and RBC related templates.
  • Providing analytical support by effectively visualizing data to highlight significant trends and assess implications for the business.
  • Supporting projects and ad-hoc tasks as needed. 

You come equipped with

  • A degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • A basic understanding of the insurance/reinsurance industry would be a plus.  
  • Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, VBA and R are preferred, and experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) is encouraged.
  • Strong administrative abilities, leadership qualities, and a track record of relevant extracurricular activities.  
  • You must have strong analytical skills, be resourceful, and have the ability to work effectively in a team.  
  • Good time management and multitasking abilities, be proactive and quick-thinking, and be able to keep confidential information secure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as regular liaison with 
    internal and external stakeholders will be required.
