We are currently hiring a Team Manager, Human Resources to join the HR team in Malaysian Branch. This role is to serve as a trusted advisor on people topic to internal stakeholders, providing strategic people insights and solutions to support business growth and organisational effectiveness. Lead and implement talent management initiatives in partnership with Global HR, focusing on culture, leadership development, and organisational capability. Drive end-to-end talent strategies, including acquisition, retention, performance management, succession planning, and compensation review for HRMB. Oversee recruitment, employee relations, and mobility matters, ensuring consistency and compliance across HR processes while contributing to global HR projects and initiatives. Drive clear, consistent, and engaging communication to align employees with organisational goals, cultural values, and work with Global HR to communicate employer brand to external stakeholders, ensuring alignment, compliance and strategic positioning.

  • Provide business aligned HR direction by leveraging business insights, managing complexity, and driving innovation in talent practices to support organisation growth.
  • Lead and develop the HR team member to achieve the function goals as a team.
  • Optimise HR processes with clear communication, prioritisation, and continuous improvement to ensure effective delivery of key people initiatives within the Branch.
  • Managing the branch staff cost and employee compensation and benefits. 
  • Act as trusted sparring partner and coach to senior within the Branch, supporting and challenging them on people decisions, providing people solutions and interventions to support growth.
  • Lead and implement Talent Management projects related to people and culture, in collaboration with Global Human Resources.
  • Manage the investment in talent to enable the business growth including talent acquisition and retention, culture integration and capability development.
  • Drive and own the execution of performance management, talent review, succession planning, leadership development and compensation review for HRMB.
  • Advise and support business leaders on recruiting and hiring strategies, including global mobility.
  • Manage all recruitment processes and handle local employee relations and employee queries.
  • Work across organisational borders ensuring that all human resources processes are managed consistently.
  • Contribute to global Talent Management projects as needed and appropriate.
  • Take reasonable steps to ensure effective management and control of branch business functions, operation and/or control.
  • Take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with any applicable law, regulations and regulatory requirements, ethical and professional practices which consistent with the organisation’s code of conduct and values are adhered to and always maintained.
  • Take reasonable steps to ensure that delegation of responsibilities is appropriate and properly overseen for effective performance and discharge of the delegated responsibilities.
  • Deal with regulatory authorities in an open and constructive manner.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication across all levels within the Branch and with external stakeholders, where applicable. Represent the function and branch in client, industry, and regulatory engagements.

You come equipped with

  • 10 years+ of work experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in Human Resources Business Partner function, ideally in global organization in the APAC region.
  • Experienced professional with in-depth expertise of all Human Resources core topics such as performance, compensation and benefits, and talent development.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of Human Resources and transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources systems and processes.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Business English.
  • Personable individual with exceptional relationship building, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong execution focus and results oriented.
  • Able to work in ambiguity, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to set priorities in parallel.
  • Comfortable in working within a dynamic global environment with changing priorities.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthy.
