If you want to experience how things are done in the Valuation team at Hannover Re's Shanghai Branch, join us.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data input in the internal accounting core system;
  • Assist in quarterly valuation and forecasting processes under different GAAP frameworks;
  • Assist in preparing internal and regulatory reports in cooperation with other departments of the Shanghai Branch and the Home Office;
  • Provide support during year-end audit processes and assist in responding to auditor requests;
  • Support regular CROSS SARMRA related reporting;
  • Assist the team in performing regular and ad hoc valuation tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics, IT, Actuarial Science, or a related field;
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
  • Familiarity with Access, SQL, and VBA; experience with RiskAgility is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 valuation and reinsurance is a plus;
  • Progress towards actuarial qualification (e.g. SOA, CAA, FIAA, etc.) is a plus;
  • 2+ years actuarial work experience (both pricing and valuation background are fine);
  • Open-minded and willing to learn;
  • Careful and detail-oriented in daily work;
  • Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility;
  • A good team player with a cooperative attitude.
