Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various regular and ad hoc valuation tasks.
  • Prepare valuation database and estimations on reinsurance accounts.
  • Perform experience study and suggest to Chief Actuary the valuation methodologies and assumptions for various GAAPs (IFRS 17 / German GAAP / Solvency II / PRC GAAP / C-ROSS).
  • Work with other team members to complete quarterly valuation and forecast tasks for various GAAPs.
  • Input estimations and reserves into Re7 system.
  • Cooperate with other departments of Shanghai Branch and the Home Office to complete various internal and regulatory reports.
  • Cooperate with external auditor to complete year end audit.
  • Work with the Risk Management team to closely monitor the C-ROSS positions and manage C-ROSS SARMRA.
  • Provide technical and experience study supports to other functions at their requests.
  • Coach and inspire subordinate staffs
  • Management of various regular and ad hoc valuation projects.

Requirements:

  • Mathematics / Accounting / Statistics / IT / Actuary degree.
  • Proficient in Chinese (Reading and Speaking).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Familiar with Access, SQL, VBA, Risk Agility is preferred.
  • Fellow of Actuarial Associations (SoA, CAA, FIAA, etc.) is a plus.
  • 10+ years’ work experience.
  • 8+ years actuarial work experience (both pricing and valuation background are fine).
  • With management experience is a plus.
  • Flexible and open-minded.
  • Thorough and analytical work attitude.
  • Extremely reliable and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Accurate and well organized.
  • Strong teamwork spirit.
