You can look forward to

As a Senior Underwriter in Property, you will assess and price risks from the Nordic market – as well as negotiate terms and conditions with clients and brokers.

Your clients are insurance companies and captives operating in the Nordic region, but the risks may be located worldwide. As a Senior Underwriter, you will also conduct site visits and participate in market events to some extent. You work in an efficient and experienced UW teams within P&C that focus on Treaty business, Construction/Engineering & Construction defects, Casualty and facultative business in Israel.

As a Senior Underwriter, you have close contact with insurance/reinsurance brokers and also visit customers, often with colleagues from other departments. The role is based on your ability to create business-oriented, long-term and good relationships with customers and intermediaries.

You come equipped with

  • You have an academic degree in law, economics or equivalent.

  • You have worked for at least 3 years as a Senior Underwriter of major property risks, or as a risk engineer.

  • For us it is important that you are fluent in Swedish and communicate well in English, both spoken and written. Hannover Re's corporate language is English.

  • You have a keen interest in fire safety and the manufacturing industry. You keep up to date in these areas through publications and networking meetings.
