HRB is currently seeking candidates for our open Financial Accountant / Financial Accountant position. This is a Full-Time role within the Finance Department and reports to the Manager, Financial Reporting. This position is responsible for several processes supporting the non-technical accounts and treasury management of the Company. The initial focus will be on processing, recording and reconciling banking records, managing liquidity and aiding the financial accounting function.

Main Responsibilites

• Prepare weekly set-up of non-technical expenses and technical claims payments in the banking portal and coding these payments for further processing.
• Update and maintain the technical & non-technical cashbooks daily and prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Support the posting and clearing of technical cash payments using automation tools.
• Daily monitoring and management of liquidity in multiple currencies to ensure timely payment of expenses and claims.
• Prepare quarterly investment reconciliations and support the Asset Liability Matching (ALM) analysis, including recommendation of portfolio reallocation.
• Support in the preparation of forecast and planning projection models and regulatory reporting.
• Participate in ad-hoc accounting activities and project work to support efficiency within the department and perform any other duties as the Company may require from time to time.
• Work collaboratively with in a team environment and play an active role in fostering strong working relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or equivalent.
• Professional accounting designation such as CA, CPA or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience, external audit, re/insurance and/or investment accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge in the use of computer applications such as Excel and Power Query and financial based accounting and IT packages (SAP).
• Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to look for improvements in processes while being open to initiating change where applicable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to occasionally work outside office hours, when required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
