Marketing Actuary
Hannover Re (Bermuda) Ltd. is currently seeking candidates for our open Marketing Actuary position. This is a Full-Time role within the Business Development – L&H team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for pricing, writing, documenting, reporting and monitoring existing and new treaties for Hannover Re Bermuda Life & Health portfolios. The Marketing Actuary supports the Senior Marketing Actuaries and the Chief Business Development Officer with their marketing activities and any other duties as the Company may reasonably require from time to time.
Main Responsibilities
- Analysing, modelling and pricing new business opportunities and existing book in accordance with group and local guidelines.
- Developing pricing models and assumptions for various lines of business in various geographical locations for the Financial Solutions Line of Business.
- Effectively executing treaty related duties such as writing, reviewing, validating, registering and archiving.
- Documenting pricing analysis.
- Monitoring performance of existing treaties.
- Managing actuarial experience studies.
- Contributing to the development of new tools and approaches.
- Supporting Senior team members in marketing the company’s financial solutions.
Requirements
- Associate or Fellow of Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or other life actuarial qualifications from a recognized professional body.
- Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in pricing for life and health (re)insurance.
- Technical experience in the specialist fields of mortality, morbidity, health and critical illness.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Technically proficient in Excel, Visual basic, Database management tools (Access/SQL/Power BI) and working knowledge of Microsoft Suites.
- Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic with a willingness to work extra hours on occasion to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Available to travel on an as needed basis.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
