Regional Actuary - Traditional Business Accelerator

If you want to experience how things are done in the Traditional Business Accelerator team at our Hong Kong Branch, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as a Regional Actuary.

 

You can look forward to

  • Work closely with actuaries in the respective local offices.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and review pricing basis and model, including technical analysis supported by research.
  • Review quotation referrals exceeding local authorities.
  • Provide product development support for Asia Pacific.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on cross-market projects.
  • Develop process to enhance risk management controls in business acceptance in the region.

You come equipped with

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the Reinsurance and/or Insurance industry with at least 2 years in a management position

  • Strong leadership and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of actuarial principles and techniques.

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent designation.

  • Regional pricing and/or reinsurance experience would be an advantage.

  • Priority will be given to candidates currently based in Hong Kong.
