Senior Actuarial Analyst
If you want to experience how things are done in the Finance & Corportate Actuarial team at our Hong Kong Branch, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuarial Analyst.
You can look forward to
• Performing valuation processes in line with specified methodologies and assumptions, particularly for solvency reporting such as HKRBC basis, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
• Analyzing and interpreting results to provide clear, meaningful insights for various stakeholders, investigating anomalies, trends, or inconsistencies as needed.
• Reviewing and validating data from cedants to ensure compliance with contract terms; resolve discrepancies or unusual patterns.
• Collaborating with internal teams—including accounting, underwriting, and fellow actuaries—to ensure data integrity and accuracy across core databases.
• Proposing and executing improvements to actuarial processes, reporting tools, and documentation standards
• Handling ad hoc requests and/or other actuarial/database projects as required
You come equipped with
• Degree holder in in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Candidate with 2-4 years of relevant actuarial experience is preferable. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for Actuarial Analyst title.
• Progress in actuarial exams with a recognized actuarial body is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL; experience with other programming languages is a plus.
• Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders
